Katrina Austin

Katrina serves as the budget and policy analyst for the Department of Workforce Services, the Department of Cultural and Community Engagement, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services, and the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity. Prior to joining the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, Katrina spent nearly a decade working in and around the Texas Legislature, serving at the Capitol for various elected officials and for multiple state agencies. Most recently, Katrina worked as a budget analyst for the Texas Senate Committee on Finance. Katrina graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in political science in addition to two Business minors.

Katrina is a lifelong Texan who recently relocated to Utah. In her free time, Katrina values time with friends and family, and enjoys hiking, road biking, camping, and exploring all of the beauty Utah has to offer with her husband.
