Data Resources

Understanding Long-Term Needs and Goals
GOPB has compiled several data resources to better understand the long-term needs and goals of the state’s regions:
Utah Project Portal
The Utah Project Portal is a comprehensive platform that enables communities across Utah to list, prioritize, and monitor public projects, ensuring transparency and effective planning. This portal centralizes local project data, offering a clear view of initiatives like infrastructure upgrades, community development, and essential services.
GIS Advisory Council
Hosted by UGRC, in partnership with the State Planning Coordinator, the GIS Advisory Council (GISAC) is a long-standing council that is being revived and re-envisioned to better coordinate statewide GIS data efforts for collection, creation, and access by state, federal and local entities. GISAC facilitates communication, cooperation, and data sharing among state and federal agencies, local governments and academic institutions.
Guiding Our Growth
Over the course of 2023 and 2024, Utahns across the state engaged in a statewide conversation about growth.
