Abby Orton

Abby Orton joined the Governor’s Office of Planning & Budget in 2020. In her role as the Finance & Operations Manager she oversees internal office functions, finances, records management, and day-to-day operations. She is also the budget analyst over the Governor’s Office and Capitol Preservation Board. 

She graduated from Utah State University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and from the University of Utah in 2025 with a master’s degree in public administration. Abby has participated in multiple internships including one with the United States Senate. 

A native to the Salt Lake Valley, Abby loves to spend her free time outdoors, traveling, frequenting local soda shops, and spending time with friends and family.
