Karsten Gillwald

Karsten Gillwald is an Operations Analyst in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, where he collaborates with state agencies to streamline their operational processes and drive improvements in overall efficiency to better serve Utahns.

Karsten graduated from the University of Utah with a dual master’s degree in public health and healthcare administration. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from Westminster University. Additionally, he has his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing board games, skiing, camping, and hiking with his wife and dog. He also works as a professional soccer referee in each of the professional leagues in the United States.
