Government Reform, Innovation, & Transparency (GRIT)

The Government Reform, Innovation, & Transparency initiative was launched on May 9, 2025 by Governor Spencer Cox. This effort is meant to:

  1. Drive improvements across state government;
  2. Empower state employees to work with their respective agencies in generating and implementing ideas to improve government;
  3. Identify other ways to coordinate and enhance existing efforts related to state government efficiency and process improvement activities; and
  4. Provide Utahns with access to transparent and measurable improvement outcomes, such as cost-savings, time-savings, improved service delivery, and return on investment.

Agencies can use the following forms to help the Government Reform, Innovation & Transparency (GRIT) initiative improve state government:

  • Click here to assign your agency's EPIC (Efficiency & Process Improvement Collaborative) representative and propose a joint efficiency evaluation
  • Click here to request help from GOPB in identifying an improvement or implementing a project
