Jill Curry is a Senior Budget and Policy Analyst in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget. Prior to her current role, Jill was a program analyst at the State Board of Education where, among other duties, she was responsible for legislative reporting including performance measures and the board’s annual report. 

Before joining the Utah State Board of Education, she served as a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Political Science at the University of Utah where she conducted research and taught courses on the American Presidency, Congress, and research methods. She then worked as a fiscal analyst in the Office of the Legislative Fiscal Analyst where she staffed the Higher Education and Public Education Appropriations subcommittees and covered local government issues.

Jill holds a PhD in government and politics from the University of Maryland. She is passionate about the use of data to affect meaningful change. She spent two years as a Strategic Data Project Fellow with the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University and has over a decade of experience conducting research and data analysis at the federal, state, and local level including at the Federal Judicial Center, the state of Utah, and the Erie County Department of Health.
