Cortland Fry is a research analyst fellow for GOPB’s Budget and Operations pillar. He recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in accounting and an associate's degree in business management. Prior to joining GOPB, he worked as a legislative intern at the Utah House of Representatives. He has also worked for multiple construction and real estate companies, gaining broad experience in those industries.
Cortland was a 4-year starter on the UVU men’s rugby team and also served as team captain for his last two seasons. He spends most of his free time in the mountains hiking and camping in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. He also enjoys going back home to San Diego where he surfs and scuba dives.
