Sarah Wright received a bachelor’s in geography and an MPA with an emphasis in local government and project management both from Brigham Young University. While an MPA student, she completed an internship with a human resources consulting firm, Whitney L. Johnson Advisors. 

Prior to joining the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget (GOPB), Sarah worked for the Utah Department of Transportation and for a consulting firm as a project manager creating and updating general plans for rural communities in Utah. She also worked as part of a public service research lab studying the inner workings of local governments around the country. Currently her duties with GOPB include managing the Local Match Program working to allocate federal COVID-19 relief funds to local governments. She also assists the planning team with statewide water planning initiatives. In her spare time she loves to run, hike, and journal as well as spend time with family and friends.
