Meghan Burrows

Meghan is a research analyst fellow for the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget. She recently graduated with a Master of City and Metropolitan Planning degree from the University of Utah, specializing in Housing and Community Development. Meghan also holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Brigham Young University Idaho and a second bachelor's in Environmental & Sustainability Studies from the University of Utah.
 

While pursuing a MCMP at the University of Utah, she became passionate about promoting effective community engagement and utilizing thoughtful planning practices to strengthen capacity and create more resilient places. Meghan has worked on housing-related and community development projects, including Thriving in Place: Salt Lake City and the Summit County Utah Community Planning Lab.  

Prior to her role at GOPB, she worked as a Sustainability Education Research Assistant at the University of Utah's Sustainability Office for the past three years. 

Meghan grew up in Oklahoma but has lived in Utah and the West for almost 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, reading, and going on walks with her husband and two dogs.
