Katherine McCafferty is from Bel Air, Maryland, and graduated from Brigham Young University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and two minors in Political Strategy and Creative Writing. While at BYU, Katherine participated in an internship with the Utah State Senate for the 2020 General Session. Her love for government and a desire to help others led her back to the Capitol, where she worked as GOPB's executive support staff. Katherine now works as a Budget & Policy Analyst over Utah National Guard, Department of Veterans and Military Affairs, Capitol Preservation Board, and the Legislature.
In her free time, Katherine likes to play music, write novels, spend time with friends and family, hike, make spreadsheets to organize every part of her life, and talk about how much she loves the mountains.
