Alexis Athens is a Budget & Policy Economist for the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget. She holds a master’s degree in public policy with an emphasis in economics from the University of Utah and dual bachelor’s degrees in statistics and mathematics with an emphasis in computer science from the University of Florida.
Prior to joining GOPB, Alexis worked for the Office of the State Auditor as a Senior Data Analyst on a data-driven education policy project. She also consulted for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand, where she worked on an international trade policy team.
Outside of work, Alexis enjoys traveling, trail running, bike commuting, reading, learning languages, and spending time with friends and family.
